DDP loaded up the family van and drove across town to Wizard World Chicago last weekend. The crew pulled off a 3-day (plus one evening) marathon of booth signings including creators Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash), DDP President Josh Blaylock (Voltron: A Legend Forged, Mercy Sparx), Art Baltazar & Franco Aureliani (Ninjatown: Adventures of the Wee Ninja, Patrick the Wolf Boy), Mike Bear (Voltron: A Legend Forged, G.I. Joe: America's Elite), and Chris Kirby (Lost Squad). Saturday's panel -- featuring designer Shawn Smith (Shawnimals), comics creator and toy designer Jeffrey Brown (The Incredible Change-Bots), and editor Jim Demonakos (The Corps!, Vampire Hunter D: American Wasteland) unloaded a huge barage of surprise announcements that have been making waves across the 'Net over the last few days, including writer Rick Remender coming onboard October's The Corps!, writer Joe Casey stepping up to DDP's new Zen: Intergalactic Ninja series, and a brand new Vampire Hunter D comic on its way soon. Head over to ComicMix.com right now if you missed last week's Podcast #209 from ComicMix Radio. Host Mike Raub got some information from Josh Blaylock at New York Comic-Con regarding DDP's new POP line of vinyl toys and useable artwork. Josh gave up some big details about DDP's plans, which in include June's Dirge vinyl figure from Xombie and Jeffrey Brown's transformable Incredible Change-Bots vinyl toys, which beginning hitting in August with Balls!
