JOSH BLAYLOCK

Picture
JOSH BLAYLOCK is the creator of cult hit supernatural action comic MERCY SPARX now in development with MGM Studios. He is also the creator of comics THE ENCODED and ARKWORLD. Josh is a veteran comic book writer, artist, and founder of Devil’s Due Comics having published over 1000 comic books. His non-fiction book on the subject of publishing was made required reading at Savannah College of Art & Design, and he has been featured on NBC Universal news, Yahoo! Finance, and in the New York Times. Several of Josh's plots and character designs have been translated into toys, film, and television, most recently with the Henry Golding film Snake-Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins and the new G.I. Joe Classified Kamakura 6” figures.

Josh began publishing comics after high school at age 18 and assisted in launching the first '80s retro pop culture clothing line of its kind kickstarting a nationwide hit. Three years later, his success relaunching G.I. Joe, Voltron, and other classic properties sent ripples through the comic book world that are still felt to this day, paving the way for independent publishers to compete with Marvel and DC by revitalizing major licensed brands.
